As the poverty rate shoots up following several lockdowns initiated by the government to control the spread of Covid-19 cases, there is still a lot we can do to help one another.

With these lockdowns, many have lost jobs, close down businesses or pivot to something that works better during these times.

Unfortunately for some, they do not have the resources to advertise and market their businesses.

BAC Education Group chairman Raja Singham has been devising many ways to help Malaysians since last year and now is ready to launch yet another platform to help small businesses market and reach customers for FREE.

“We will launch MCO Mart in July.

“MCO Mart is a free Marketplace for local goods and services, where the seller and buyer pay absolutely nothing to us. It is fully funded by BAC,” he said.

The notion of setting up this platform was simple, Raja said, it was meant to help entrepreneurs list their businesses for free so that they can make more money from their sales.

“We will do the marketing for them in the spirit of #KitaJagaKita and #KitaSapotLokal.

“We want to encourage everyone to buy local goods and help each other out through this unprecedented Pandemic.”

Start-ups and small businesses work with very little capital and usually have no money to market their business online, said Raja.

“They can use this platform to market their products and services to a concentrated customer base that is to support local businesses. This gives us that special edge.

“We understand how difficult it is for new businesses or those who want to start-up a new business after losing their jobs, we are here for you.”

Raja said the 100% free model also applies for his other Covid-19 related initiatives, Project Deep and Project Entrepreneur, which are aimed at upskilling and reskilling the Malaysian public.

Project Deep and Project Entrepreneur will also serve to assist Start-ups run their business better and improve their chances of success.

“We will launch MCO Mart in July and we are currently onboarding businesses and want to invite everyone to join us.”
